Dear 102'09 - 202'10
How time flies. it seems just like yesterday when we arrived at the gates of Xinmin, that awkward feeling, no one you know is around. Just you, against the world.
You hang around the parade square, because everyone else is doing it, and you hope that you'll discover that you're not the only one drowning in this sea of unknown faces.
Finally, some sort of relief washes over you when some corny music starts blasting from the speakers, and everyone makes their way to the parade square.
"Where the hell is 102?" you think.
Then you see it, a card that says "102."
You walk towards the card held up high in the air, clutching the sling of your bag, trying to, you know, "play it cool."
You stand beside a girl who smiles shyly at you.
You smile back.
That was two years ago.
Look how things have changed.
Dear 102'09 - 202'10,
Do you still remember Sec 1 life? What a joke! Everyday in school was just goofing around, throwing pebbles/stones/rocks into the "eco-garden" our classroom was just beside, kicking them into the drain, staring longingly into the SRR, hoping we would get our chance someday, complaining how tiring it was to climb up 6 flights of stairs every bio lesson.
Wow, we were so young.
Remember how our beloved Mr Chin would start every lesson with "Class, take out your student handbook, administrative matters first. " We always loved to mimic him. Lessons on Monday was like a "Stay awake Day". Basically, everyone fell asleep or zoned out during Langarts, and CE and Assembly. Yawn. But it was cool while it lasted. I mean, Mr Chin showed us Michael Jackson's music video, which form teacher does that when everyone's bored? :)
Come CNY, we all had red packets, 2bucks each baby!! Courtesy of Mr Chin. Not forgetting those apples on Youths' Day.
Remember how silent we always were during Reading? Haha, damn funny. Miss Lee would bomb us with questions and there would always be silence. HAHAHA.
Oh and the HCL students who would always rush to 104 whenever its chinese lessons, hoping we would not get scolded by Cai Lao Shi. Ahh, what memories.
Homecoming's "Haunted House" was a failure, but who care's when we had fun? And our first official excursion to watch "Crabflower." Ahh, we were singing Pokerface at the back and everyone else told us to shut up.
Those volleyball and badminton cheering sessions, I have to admit, were great bonding sessions.
AND THEN OMGZXC ITS SEC TWO AHHHHHHHHHH
This year was crazy.
GUESS WHAT, OUR DARLING MATHS TEACHER IN SEC 1 WAS ACTUALLY OUR FORM TEACHER FOR SEC 2!!!
Best.
Well, kinda...?
This year we kinda got into deep shiz with some teachers.
NOT TO MENTION WHO, but basically, almost everyone subject teacher, either
1) gave up on us
2) walked out of the classroom
3) punished us
4) scolded us
in other words, we were one of the "difficult classes" and like how Mr Lee puts it "EVEN WORSE THEN THE SEC 1s."
but, whatever la, we may be the noisiest class, but we're also the MOST BONDED.
WHADDUP! (like how kaely puts it)
Our bbt stall was a much greater success then our haunted house. A real great effort put in from everyone. NOT BAD. :) but we also weathered storms, like, how annoying we were, during every lesson, not cooperating with teachers, and all these, escalating into a huge mess! Thank God, xianzheng woke all of us up! But we learned from our mistakes, and, i guess we all grew up in one way or the other.
BUT HEY WAIT.
WE ARE NOT CALLED "202"
FOR NO REASON
AITES?
muahahahahahahahahaha.
Remember EL fest? Aderic with the gay hair? Ah, Yongkang was turned on HAHAHA
OH and gl-ing teachers, especially during MATHS!!! What an experience.
So, today was the last day. Our class chair was definitely NOT ready to let go off the class key.
Or leave the class when we were dismissed. GILLIAN AH GILLIAN.
We thanked Mr Lee for the last time.
Mr Lee: Thank you class!!
02: Thank you Mr Lee, goodbye and have a nice day, may God bless you!
GILLIAN: THREE CHEERS AND THREE CHEERS AND THREE CHEERS FOR 02! HIP HIP
02: HOORAY
GILLIAN: HIP HIP
02: HOORAY
GILLIAN: HIP HIP
02: HOORAY
acs and gang: TO ARTHUR!!!!
Yes, TO ARTHUR!
For putting up with our nonsense, marking our screwed handwriting, trying his best, to make this final year for us, a great one.
Ah, you guys are the best people I've ever known.
Its hard to come to terms with the fact that, we can never assemble in the parade square as a class, slack in the hall during assembly as a class, or even get scolded as a class.
No more "CLASS STAND!!!" from Gillian,
no more "OI! GUYS, CLASS FUND!!!" from Huiwen,
no more "HAND IN YOUR MATHS!!!" from Kent,
no more "OI! EVERYBODY SHUDDUP!! SHOW SOME RESPECT TO TEACHER CAN ANOT?!" from Sly,
no more "Ivan, can you take care of your wife?" from Miss Ng.
Basically,
no more 202.
But like how Yeheng puts it "This is all part of life."
Yes, separation is indeed inevitable.
But, we wont say our goodbyes,
You know its better that way.
We wont break, we wont die,
Its just a moment of change.
We may no longer set up a stall together during Homecoming,
or slack outside the classroom beside the shooting range,
or smuggle food up during CCM,
or even share answers during tests.
(heehee)
But the bond will always be there.
And even though I am veryveryvery, reluctant to let go, i know that,
Once an 02-er, always an 02-er.
All the best yeah?
I love you guys so much.
2 years.
41 people.
1 class.
Love,
Kristie
ps. help me tag those i forgot to tag.
KEEP IN TOUCH YEAH.
