An intellectual article about picking up girls

ARGH MY BRAIN MALFUNCTIONS WHENEVER I'M EXHAUSTED. I can't do lit now, brain cells busted. But at least I did physics, the sense of accomplishment, SO SWEET. anyway idk why but this morning when I was zombified, I kinda hit upon this question. (dont ask me how my brain works) ANYHOO, the question is, why do ppl visit bars/pubs? Well.

1) relaxed comfortable environment to chill. Well apparently so. Convenient and there's alcohol and unhealthy snacks that everyone adores.
But that's not my main speculation.

2) to pick up girls. Why do ppl go to pubs to pick up girls? Because under the neon lights and 3 shots of alcohol of some sort and almost psychedelic music the chances of picking a girl up would be higher? Well this brings me to my next question.
Are we merely looking for companion through the night or for the rest of our lives? Most of the time ppl are looking for a fling, casual, nth serious. No phone numbers exchanged, no names, just a face, and a blur memory. And these ppl sit around and complain about never finding the One, why so disheartened? Are they all disenchanted by 'love'? Would they honestly prefer a long string of no strings attached flings or a serious relationship? Of course, they may scream, 'commitment is scary' but if you're willing to take a leap of fath what is commitment really? Some ppl blame the world. Wrecked marriages, broken relationships.. yes it is terrifying. But it takes 2 hands to clap. You see only what you want to believe.
